Slovak authorities recall Plenvu and Moviprep medications

The State Institute for Drug Control (ŠÚKL) has announced a preventive recall of specific batches of the medications Plenvu and Moviprep from the Slovak market. These drugs are used for bowel cleansing prior to diagnostic procedures, such as colonoscopies.

The recall is due to identified manufacturing defects and a failure to comply with good manufacturing practice standards, which are essential for ensuring drug quality and safety. The measure affects distributors, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities.
