Basketball legend Natália Hejková has shared insights into the importance of nutrition during her coaching career. She recalled a notable incident in 2017 in Orenburg, Russia, where her team experienced poor quality food at their hotel before a decisive playoff match. To ensure their performance, the team traveled from Prague with their own canned food, which ultimately helped them secure a victory and advance to the EuroLeague Final Four.

Separately, the life of Nataša Dekanová, a former Lokomotíva Bratislava player and Czechoslovak representative, is highlighted. Fifty-five years ago, she was named the most beautiful basketball player in the world. Her career spanned the era of normalization in Czechoslovakia, during which athletes faced intense surveillance by the State Security (ŠtB) during international travels.
