Slovak broadcaster STVR unveils summer schedule and Slovenia Woman of the Year gala
Slovenská televízia a rozhlas (STVR) will broadcast live from the Slovak Philharmonic on June 26, 2026 the 18th edition of the "Slovenka roka" awards gala. The ceremony honors women for contributions in business, sport, media, science, education, youth support, arts, health, charity and lifetime achievement. It will be hosted by Kristína Kucianová and Ľubomír Bajaník and feature performances by Janoska Bros, opera singer Terézia Kružliaková, musician Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý and others.
In addition, STVR announced an extensive summer programming slate. New and classic series such as "Helicops", "Capri", "Sestrička Lea", the British series "Durrellovci" and crime dramas will occupy daytime slots. Evening schedules will showcase European films, documentaries and live broadcasts of cultural events, including the Slovak Day of Costume from Banská Bystrica, the World Cup 2026 final, and special documentary series on scientific, historical and wildlife topics. The lineup also adds children's programming and weekend westerns, aiming to provide a varied cultural offering throughout the summer.
