Slovak citizen extradited to Poland from UK

A 36-year-old Slovak citizen has been extradited to Poland following an international manhunt. The individual was apprehended in the United Kingdom and transported to Poland via a flight from London to Warsaw.

The man was wanted by the Bolesławiec District Police for property crimes, including various thefts committed in the Bolesławiec district in 2021. After failing to serve his sentence, a warrant was issued by the Bolesławiec District Court.

Following investigations by the Bolesławiec search and identification team, authorities determined the suspect was residing in the United Kingdom. Through cooperation between the Polish Bureau of International Police Cooperation and British authorities, the suspect was identified and detained. He has been transferred to a correctional facility to serve a sentence of at least 18 months.
