Slovak comedies 'Diabol nosí Pradu 2' streams on Disney+ as 'Kavej 2' draws strong cinema crowds

The sequel to the cult Slovak comedy Diabol nosí Pradu has been added to Disney+, allowing viewers to watch it at home after its theatrical run that attracted almost 200,000 spectators and earned €1.6 million locally. Audience scores on the CSFD portal were 60 percent for the sequel, slightly lower than the first film’s 69 percent.

Meanwhile, the new Slovak comedy Kavej 2 recorded a robust opening week, with 74,381 ticket sales across 90 cinemas, making it the most successful domestic release of the 2026 season. The film topped foreign titles such as Odysea and Michael, and its festival tour drew large audiences in Košice, Zemplínska Šírava and Prešov. Director Lukáš Zedníkovič and producer Daniel Dangl highlighted the film’s popularity and its role in fostering community spirit.
