Slovak drama series Sľub returns with fourth season in September

The Slovak family drama Sľub, broadcast on TV Markíza, will return with its fourth season in September 2025. After a record‑breaking third series that attracted the highest market share for the programme, the new season will move the storyline to spring 1986, introducing new characters and period‑specific events.

Main screenwriter Evita Twardzik revealed that the fourth series will continue the central love story of Zuzana Fraňová and Michal Andráš, now facing challenges such as becoming substitute parents to a child named Kubko, while also exploring broader social and historical themes of the mid‑1980s. The series has consistently been the most‑watched daily programme in Slovakia, and the upcoming season is expected to maintain its strong audience appeal.
