Slovak emergency responders receive praise for assisting elderly citizens

In Slovakia, two separate instances of emergency responders providing critical assistance to elderly citizens have gained public attention.

In Trnava, two police officers assisted an elderly man using crutches who was unable to cross a street. The officers drove the man to his destination and helped him into his vehicle, an act of assistance that was documented and shared on social media by a local witness.

In Žilina, an emergency line operator, Pavol Kuzmík, was credited with helping to stabilize an 87-year-old woman from the Orava region during a medical crisis. Kuzmík, a former paramedic, provided calm and professional instructions to the woman's son over the phone, guiding him through life-saving steps until medical teams arrived on the scene.
