Slovak healthcare providers show varying media visibility

An analysis by Mediaboard for Zdravotnícke noviny highlights significant disparities in the media presence and communication strategies within the Slovak healthcare sector. The report compares the media visibility of various providers, including the AGEL network and Penta Hospitals, as well as health insurance companies and specialized medical institutes.

While private entities like AGEL and Penta Hospitals show high levels of media engagement, state-related organizations such as the Association of State Hospitals in the Slovak Republic (AŠN SR) have significantly lower media coverage despite representing 24 healthcare providers, including all major state hospitals.

State Secretary Michal Štofko noted during an Association of Hospitals of Slovakia (ANS) gathering that the Slovak healthcare system is often forced to focus on immediate, short-term crises rather than long-term strategic planning due to the nature of the political cycle.
