Slovak national arrested in Poland on Interpol Red Notice

Polish authorities have conducted several high-profile criminal arrests across different regions. In Częstochowa, police detained a 56-year-old Slovak citizen wanted via an Interpol Red Notice. The individual is accused of accepting a contract killing in Ukraine, where he reportedly fired several shots at a victim who survived the attack. The suspect was already known to Silesian police for involvement in a 2024 organized crime group specializing in counterfeit currency.

In other regional operations, police in Czersk apprehended four men, including three brothers, suspected of stealing tools worth approximately 20,000 PLN. The stolen goods were found hidden in unusual locations, including a barrel buried in manure and within grain.

Additional arrests included a man in Szczecin found hiding under clothes during a noise complaint intervention, a 27-year-old Ukrainian national in Wrocław arrested for ATM fraud, and two brothers in the Chodzież district caught with cannabis, amphetamines, and an unlicensed revolver. In Sierpc, several individuals were detained for various offenses including burglary and driving bans.
