Slovak passport ranks among world's strongest in new index
The Slovak passport has been ranked among the strongest in the world according to the October 2026 update of the Henley Passport Index. Slovakia holds seventh place globally, allowing its citizens to travel to 183 destinations without the need for a pre-arranged visa.
Slovakia shares this seventh-place ranking with Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Latvia, New Zealand, and Slovenia. This ranking places the Slovak passport ahead of several major nations, including the United States, which is positioned at tenth place.
At the top of the index, Singapore remains the leader, granting access to 193 destinations without a visa. Japan and South Korea also hold top positions alongside the United Arab Emirates.
