Slovak reality show Party Shore airs alleged rape attempt on intoxicated contestant

The Slovak reality series Party Shore, broadcast by Markíza and streamed on the Czech platform Oneplay, aired a scene in which a male participant, identified as Nicolas, carried a heavily intoxicated young woman through a villa and attempted to isolate her for sexual activity. The woman was barely able to move and appeared to be sleeping; the camera was later obscured and the pair moved to a bathroom out of view. It remains unclear whether a non‑consensual act occurred.

Experts from the counseling centre ALEJ, including violence specialist Dáša Dostálová, criticised the production, saying the entire protective chain – from on‑set staff to post‑production approval – failed. Markíza’s PR manager Lukáš Kočišek defended the network, stating that participant safety is a priority and that a mandatory care system with medical supervision is in place. The incident has sparked debate over the ethical standards of reality‑TV formats that place vulnerable, intoxicated participants in potentially exploitative situations.
