Slovak retailers confirm operating hours for August 29 and September 1 holidays

Major retail chains in Slovakia have confirmed their operating hours for the upcoming holidays on August 29 (Slovak National Uprising anniversary) and September 1 (Constitution Day). Due to changes in retail regulations, most large supermarkets will remain open under standard operating conditions.

Kaufland, Billa, Tesco, and Lidl have all announced they will operate in their regular modes. Kaufland noted that its location in the Avion shopping center in Bratislava will follow the mall's specific hours rather than its standard 7:00 to 21:00 schedule. While Tesco and Lidl confirmed no changes to their services or hours, customers are encouraged to check specific branch details via apps or websites.

Coop Jednota Slovensko reported a more varied approach. While many locations will operate as they do on a normal Saturday, individual consumer cooperatives may adjust their hours for August 29 based on region and store format. For September 1, the network expects to operate under standard hours.
