Slovak women's handball team loses friendly to Austria

The Slovak women's national handball team lost a friendly match against Austria with a final score of 20:23 in Malacky. Although the Slovak team held leads throughout much of the game, including a three-goal advantage of 16:13 in the second half, Austria managed to turn the match around in the final ten minutes.

Coach Ján Beňadik noted that while the defense was strong, the team struggled with technical errors and difficulty handling Austria's high defensive line. Diana Mária Vargová was the top scorer for Slovakia with nine goals. The team continues its preparations for the upcoming European Championship, which will be co-hosted by Slovakia in December.
