Slovakia approves €121.8 million for Prešov northern bypass R4
Slovakia's Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization approved a €121.8 million call for proposals for the second stage of the Prešov northern bypass on the R4 expressway. The funding combines €103.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund and €18.3 million from the state budget. The project will construct a 10.2‑km section over a 37‑month period, with the National Highway Company (NDS) as the contract awardee.
When completed, the R4 will become part of a roughly 108‑km international transit corridor linking the Hungarian border through Košice, Prešov and Svidník to the Polish border.
