The Slovak Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization (MIRRI) has allocated over 15.1 million euros from the Program Slovensko 2021–2027 to support 21 regional projects. These funds aim to develop infrastructure and culture across various Slovak regions.
Major investments include 2.4 million euros for road modernization between Levoča and the Košice region, and 2.1 million euros for a new bridge in Opatovce nad Nitrou. Other projects involve school modernizations in Bučany and Pruské, cultural renovations in Myjava and Ostratice, and improvements to sports facilities and athletic areas.
In Banská Bystrica, the city has secured European funds for its ‘Green Neighborhoods’ initiative. Specifically, nearly 3 million euros are designated for green and blue infrastructure in the Jelšový hájik area and surrounding streets, while 1.1 million euros will fund the renewal of sports infrastructure, including playgrounds and a hockeyball field.
