Slovakia allocates millions for regional infrastructure and education

Slovak regions are receiving significant funding for infrastructure, education, culture, and sports. The Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization (MIRRI) has approved 21 projects totaling over 15.1 million euros from the Slovakia 2021–2027 Program. Key investments include a 2.4 million euro road modernization between Levoča and the Košice region border and a 2.1 million euro bridge construction in Opatovce nad Nitrou.

In the Trnava region, 794,000 euros will support school modernization in Bučany. The Trenčín region is seeing investments in art school facilities in Myjava, the restoration of the Kaštieľ II Ostratice cultural monument, and the reconstruction of an athletic arena in Myjava.

In the Nitra Self-Governing Region, over 21,000 students have returned to secondary schools following summer modernization efforts. The region implemented 23 investment projects valued at nearly 5.6 million euros. Major projects include the renovation of a technical vocational school in Nitra for 1.37 million euros and an agricultural vocational school dormitory in Topoľčany for over 1.2 million euros. Other works focus on fire safety signaling, boiler room repairs, and sports facility upgrades.
