Slovakia and Czech Republic Warned of Massive Investment and Phishing Scams

Security experts identified a network of more than 236,000 fraudulent domains that have used the Chinese DCloud Uni‑App framework since 2022 to host fake investment platforms, cryptocurrency exchanges and phishing sites. The sites are promoted through messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook, mimic legitimate services with charts and support, and lure victims into depositing money that is later blocked.

In the Czech Republic, the Czech Social Security Administration (ČSSZ) warned that a phishing campaign is sending emails promising a payout of over 240,000 CZK. Recipients are asked to provide personal identification documents and details on how the money will be used. The agency stressed that official communications never request such data via free email services and advised people to delete the messages, contact their banks and report the incident to the police.
