Slovakia awards 19 laureates for Social Act of the Year

The Slovak Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family has announced the winners of the Social Act of the Year awards. A total of 19 laureates were recognized for their dedication and selfless assistance to children, families, and individuals in difficult life situations.

For the first time since the award's inception in 2003, the ministry included children among the recipients, honoring those who have helped others through their own actions. The awards were presented by Minister Erik Tomáš.

The honorees include various groups, such as employees from child legal protection and social guardianship departments, workers from centers for children and families, as well as individual contributors and collectives. The ministry noted that these awards serve as a reminder for society to value those who prioritize the well-being of others and future generations.
