Slovakia municipal elections: Candidate lists released for Dolná Poruba and Zohor

The candidate lists for the upcoming municipal elections on October 24, 2026, have been released for the municipalities of Dolná Poruba and Zohor in Slovakia.

In Dolná Poruba, two candidates are running for mayor: incumbent Zuzana Vániová, representing SMER-SD and Hlas-SD, and Kira Větříčková, representing SNS. Eleven candidates are competing for five seats on the municipal council, representing various political affiliations including SNS, SMER-SD, Hlas-SD, and independent candidates.

In Zohor, Martin Zálesňák is the sole candidate running for mayor as an independent. For the municipal council, 13 candidates are contesting 11 available seats. The council candidates consist of twelve independents and one representative from the KDH party.
