Slovakia nears completion of Recovery and Resilience Plan milestones

Slovakia has fulfilled nearly all milestones and objectives of its Recovery and Resilience Plan, with only one exception regarding the procurement of intermodal transport units due to decreased market demand. The European Commission is currently reviewing the eighth and ninth payment requests; if approved, the remaining funds are expected to be disbursed to Slovakia by the end of the year.

The Slovak government is also addressing several strategic items, including the implementation of the Health Mission pilot programs. This includes allocating 8 million euros this year, with annual increases planned through 2030. Additionally, the cabinet is considering proposals for emergency water supply assistance by the military and financial transfers to support water management and environmental priorities.
