Slovakia police monitor sabotage and arson threats

The Slovak Police Force is actively monitoring security threats across the country, specifically investigating risks related to potential sabotage and arson attacks. Authorities are working with international partners to evaluate these threats and have implemented mechanisms to protect lives and property.

In a related effort to secure soft targets, the police have conducted 1,095 training exercises across 882 schools. Police officials emphasized that the responsibility for managing crisis situations should not be shifted onto students. Instead, training is focused on pedagogical and non-pedagogical staff to ensure they can implement initial measures and safely guide students until police arrive.

While the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education provide methodologies for crisis management, police noted that tactical procedures are not intended for public communication. The investigation into 'Operation Drone' also continues, involving charges against four individuals accused of preparing an arson attack on a manufacturing plant in Haniska.
