Slovakia releases candidate lists for municipal elections

Slovakia has released lists of candidates for the upcoming municipal elections scheduled for October 24. In Senica, three independent candidates are running for mayor: current mayor Martin Džačovský, Ladislav Ďorďovič, and Roman Krištofík. Additionally, 66 candidates are competing for 19 seats in the city council across four electoral districts.

Other municipalities have also finalized their candidate lists. In Sabinov, the mayoral race features two candidates: Erik Radačovský, supported by a four-party coalition, and the incumbent independent mayor Michal Repaský. In Giraltovce, the contest for mayor includes Peter Hruška (Smer-SD) and the incumbent Pavol Tchurík (Hlas-SD).

In Veľký Šariš, four candidates are running for mayor, including Antónia Gaálová, Ingrida Gorcovská, Dominik Icha, and Štefan Krochmaľ. Meanwhile, Lipany will see three candidates competing for the mayoral post.
