Slovakia tax deadline: 17,000 taxpayers face September 30 cutoff

The Slovak Financial Administration has issued a reminder regarding the September 30 deadline for specific taxpayers. Approximately 17,209 individuals who deferred their 2025 tax returns due to foreign income must submit their filings and pay any calculated taxes by this date. No further extensions are permitted for this group.

Additionally, the deadline applies to businesses and entrepreneurs registered as VAT payers who paid VAT in other European Union member states during 2025 and wish to claim a refund. These requests must be submitted electronically through the official Financial Administration portal by the end of the month.
