Slovakia to lose minor Recovery Plan funds, says Tomáš Drucker

Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Tomáš Drucker has stated that Slovakia will not face sanctions for failing to meet certain milestones within the Recovery Plan. However, he acknowledged that the country will likely lose a small portion of the available funds due to unmet indicators in specific sectors.

Drucker cited the transport sector as an example, noting that a target of 95 percent was only reached at 94 percent. He emphasized that while some money may be lost, it is a minimal amount compared to the billions of euros the country has successfully secured for reforms and investments. He maintained that the country has fulfilled its most significant objectives.

In addition to discussing the Recovery Plan, Drucker addressed government priorities, including social spending for police, education, and healthcare, as well as the development of new nuclear energy sources to ensure energy independence and price stability.
