Czech Republic and Slovakia face heavy rain and temperature drops

A cold front is moving across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, bringing significant changes to the weather. In the Czech Republic, a cold front arriving from the southwest will bring heavy rainfall, with some areas in the northeast potentially receiving over 30 mm. Temperatures are expected to drop sharply, with daytime maximums falling to between 7 and 12 degrees Celsius. In higher elevations, such as the Krkonoše and Jeseníky mountains, snow is possible above 1,200 meters.

In Slovakia, temperatures will also see a notable shift. While some areas may experience daytime highs up to 23 degrees Celsius, a cold front will bring rain and wind, with gusts reaching up to 60 km/h in western regions. In the mountains, snowfall is anticipated at altitudes around 1,500 meters.

Both regions should prepare for increased wind speeds and reduced visibility due to fog and heavy precipitation, which may impact driving conditions.
