Slovakia's investment funds hit record €18.6 billion in first half of 2024
Investors in Slovakia placed more than €18.6 billion in mutual funds by 30 June, with net inflows exceeding €0.5 billion in the first half of the year. The average return on these assets was above 6 % despite market turbulence linked to geopolitical tensions, inflation pressures and a technology boom.
Analysts from Across Private Investments caution that the second half of 2024 could bring a sharp reversal, citing ongoing geopolitical risks and central‑bank monetary policies. They advise investors to maintain diversified portfolios across asset classes, sectors and regions and to consider shifting exposure from highly‑valued U.S. technology shares to cheaper European titles and value‑oriented sectors, especially as energy‑price shocks ease.
