Slovakia’s regional wages vary by over €1,000, average 1,864 € in 2025
The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic reported that the average monthly wage across all Slovak districts in 2025 was €1,864, a year‑on‑year increase of €115 (6.6%).
Wages differed sharply by region: the lowest average was €1,294 in the Veľký Krtíš district, while the highest was €2,455 in the Bratislava I district. Six districts earned above €2,000, whereas 19 districts earned below €1,500. All districts saw wage growth except Košice III.
Total wages and wage allowances paid to employees in 2025 amounted to €36.7 billion, up 7% (an increase of €2.4 billion) from the previous year.
