Slovan Bratislava advances to Champions League play-offs

ŠK Slovan Bratislava secured a place in the Champions League play-offs after defeating Swedish side Mjällby AIF 2-0 in the second leg of the third qualifying round. Following a 2-1 victory in the first leg, Slovan progressed with a 4-1 aggregate score, also guaranteeing participation in the European League group stage.

The match, held at Tehelné pole before a crowd of over 21,000 fans, saw goals from Suleiman Camara in the 47th minute and Alasana Yirajang in the 78th minute.

The event drew significant attention from various public figures. Notable attendees in the VIP areas included former President Ivan Gašparovič, Minister of Health Kamil Šaško, and Minister of Labour Erik Tomáš. Additionally, Bratislava mayoral candidate Martin Winkler was observed among the supporters in the fan section.
