Slovenia addresses regional security and foreign intelligence concerns

In Slovenia, the Ministry of Justice is addressing security and social integration concerns in the southeast of the country. State Secretary Barbara Levstik Šega met with representatives of the Ljudska iniciativa Dolenjske to discuss systemic solutions regarding coexistence with the Roma community, focusing on public order, property protection, and resident safety.

Separately, the Commission for Supervision of Intelligence and Security Services (Knovs) is seeking briefings from the Slovenian Intelligence and Security Agency (SOVA). The inquiry focuses on potential foreign influence from Russia and Israel on Slovenia's national sovereignty. This follows political allegations regarding connections between the President's circle and Russian networks, as well as reports involving the Israeli intelligence firm Black Cube and its alleged involvement in political activities during previous election cycles.
