Slovenia and Croatia report rising average wages for June 2026
In June 2026, Slovenia and Croatia both reported increases in average wages.
In Slovenia, the average monthly gross salary rose to 2,751.37 EUR, representing a nominal increase of 2.6% compared to May. The average net salary was 1,723.31 EUR. Growth was more pronounced in the public sector, which saw a 4.8% increase, partly due to the implementation of a renewed public sector pay system. The highest wages were recorded in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector, while the lowest were in accommodation and food services.
In Croatia, the average monthly net salary reached 1,555 EUR, a nominal increase of 7.7% compared to June of the previous year. The average gross salary was 2,184 EUR. The air transport industry reported the highest average gross salary at 3,402 EUR, whereas the clothing manufacturing sector recorded the lowest at 1,316 EUR. The median net salary for the month was 1,345 EUR.
