Slovenia announces public administration scholarships for students
Slovenian public administration bodies, including the Ministry of the Interior and Public Administration and the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, have announced nine scholarships for secondary school students for the 2026/2027 school year. These include five scholarships for security technician programs, as well as opportunities in gastronomy, tourism, mechanical engineering, and mechatronics.
Secondary school scholarship amounts are set at 15 percent of the gross minimum wage, approximately 222 euros. Additionally, recipients are eligible for a 25 percent supplement for educational materials.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, 148 scholarships for higher education students are expected to be announced on October 1. These will cover fields such as computer science, mathematics, physics, psychology, nursing, geodesy, and statistics. Undergraduate scholarships will be approximately 296 euros (20 percent of the gross minimum wage), while undergraduate scholarships will be approximately 370 euros (25 percent of the gross minimum wage). Applications can be submitted via the eUprava portal.
