Slovenia construction permits and service prices rise
Slovenia's construction sector saw an increase in activity and costs during the second quarter of 2026. In July, the number of building permits issued rose by 20% compared to the previous month, totaling 626 permits. This included 246 residential permits, a 4% increase, and 380 non-residential permits, a 34% increase. The number of planned dwellings rose by 17% to 454 units, with the highest concentration of new housing planned in the Central Slovenia statistical region.
Simultaneously, construction service prices in Slovenia increased by 1.7% in the second quarter compared to the first quarter. On an annual basis, construction service prices rose by 8.6%. The most significant year-on-year price growth was observed in building construction, which increased by 10.4%, while specialized construction works rose by 8.0%.
