Slovenia highlights unique energy trails and natural islands
Slovenia offers unique natural experiences through specialized energy trails and distinct islands. Three notable energy paths provide opportunities for mindfulness and connection with nature:
- The Čatež energy path begins at Terme Čatež, following the Sava River to the top of Šentviška Gora, featuring 15 energy points and views of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. - The Bolfenk energy path in the Pohorje forests is a 20-minute circuit based on research by therapist Tomislav Brumec, featuring seven points for relaxation. - The Velika Kopa path on Pungart features 13 energy points, each connected to a specific chakra to promote inner balance.
Additionally, Slovenia features several unique islands despite its limited coastline. Bled Island is a major cultural landmark, known for its historic church and traditional wedding customs. Maribor Island, located in the Drava River, serves as a natural oasis hosting over 300 plant species and approximately 70 bird species.
