The schedule for the 2027 IIHF World Championship has been announced. The tournament will take place from May 14 to May 30, 2027, in Düsseldorf and Mannheim, Germany.

The Slovenian men's national ice hockey team will compete in Group A in Mannheim for their third consecutive appearance in the top division. Slovenia's opening match is scheduled for Saturday, May 15, 2027, against Switzerland.

Following the opener, Slovenia will face Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Austria, and Latvia, before concluding their group stage against Finland. The tournament's opening game between Germany and Switzerland is set for May 13 at the Veltins Arena.

Group B will play the first part of the competition in Düsseldorf and includes teams such as Canada, the USA, Czechia, and Norway.
