Slovenia leaders express interest in hosting Donald Trump

Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar has expressed openness to hosting U.S. President Donald Trump, stating she has “much to tell him” and noting that an official invitation would be within her purview as president. This follows an informal invitation extended by Prime Minister Janez Janša during the UN General Assembly in New York. Janša reported via social media that Trump promised to visit Slovenia, highlighting the special relationship between the two nations.

Slovenia has recently experienced increased visibility in the United States through various cultural and political connections. These include the global prominence of NBA star Luka Dončić and the Los Angeles Lakers' visit to the country, which generated significant social media engagement. Additionally, the connection to First Lady Melania Trump continues to serve as a point of recognition for the nation in the American public eye.
