Serbia to face Slovenia in European Volleyball Championship round of 16

The Serbian men's national volleyball team has concluded the group stage of the European Championship in third place following a 0-3 loss to Belgium. Despite early leads in several matches, Serbia struggled with consistency and errors, finishing the group with three wins and two losses.

As a result of the group standings, Serbia will face Slovenia in the round of 16. The match is scheduled to take place in Turin on September 21. Slovenia enters the knockout phase as the second seed from Group A, following a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Italy.

Slovenia faces challenges of its own, as captain Tine Urnaut is sidelined with a foot injury. Klemen Čebulj is expected to step in as a replacement. The matchup is historically difficult for Serbia, who have lost their last eight official encounters against the Slovenian side.
