The second application round for university enrollment in Slovenia is beginning, with a total of 7,062 available spots for first-year students. This round is open to candidates who did not apply during the first round, those who were not admitted to any programs, or those who withdrew from their previously accepted programs by August 14.
Distribution of available spots includes 2,716 at the University of Ljubljana, 1,618 at the University of Maribor, and 903 at the University of Primorska. Other institutions, including the University of Nova Gorica, the University of Novo Mesto, the New University, and Alma Mater Europaea, along with various concessionary higher education institutes, also offer remaining positions.
The selection process for this second round is scheduled to take place from September 16 to September 21, with results expected electronically by September 21. In the initial application round, 12,454 candidates were admitted to 18,905 available spots for the 2026/27 academic year.
