Slovenia opens volunteer recruitment for 2026 European Cycling Championships
Organizers of the 2026 UEC European Road Cycling Championships in Slovenia have opened volunteer applications. The event, which will feature approximately 800 cyclists from over 50 countries across 14 races, requires a support team to assist with accreditation, logistics, media relations, and spectator guidance. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and those under legal age require parental consent.
In related cycling news, young Slovenian athletes have seen recent international success. At the world youth pump track championships in Sweden, Neja Heric secured first place in the 14-year-old girls' category, while Gal Malavašič Šurca took second among 11-year-old boys and Oskar Lev Dovč placed fourth in the 13-year-old boys' category.
