Slovenia residential real estate prices rise in Q2

Residential real estate prices in Slovenia saw significant growth during the second quarter of the year. According to data from the national statistical office, overall housing prices rose by 3 percent compared to the previous quarter and more than 9 percent on an annual basis.

Family houses experienced the highest annual price increase at 13.2 percent, while older apartments rose by 11.5 percent. In contrast, the price of new apartments decreased by 6.9 percent. Geographically, Maribor saw a notable 13.6 percent annual increase in the cost of older apartments, while Ljubljana recorded a 6.2 percent increase.

The total value of residential properties sold in the second quarter reached 551.7 million euros, representing a 10 percent increase from the previous quarter and a 4 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The market was largely driven by existing properties, with 2,660 transactions recorded, including an 18 percent rise in the sale of family houses.
