Slovenia scales back Ministry of Education relocation to Novo mesto

Plans to relocate the entire Ministry of Education, Science and Youth to Novo mesto have been scaled back. According to the Ministry of Public Administration, the move will now only involve certain parts of the ministry rather than the whole organization, as officials have determined there is a lack of redundant office space for a full relocation.

Minister Borut Rončević had previously stated his goal was a complete relocation to support regional development, which would have affected approximately 400 employees. The Ministry of Public Administration continues to examine solutions to accelerate the decentralization of the state apparatus.
