Slovenia stages nationwide charitable bike ride and a slate of local community events

Former ski jumper Cene Prevc joined the ten‑day “Dežela junakov” charitable bike ride across Slovenia, riding a quadricycle and encouraging participants to send SMS donations using the keywords Pomagam5 or Pomagam10 to 1919. The initiative, promoted by Radio 1, aims to bring smiles to children and supports local cafés in Škofja Loka.

On 7 June 2026, a series of community activities were scheduled in the Zasavje region: a hike to Čemšeniška planina from Šentgotard, a free animator training for holiday‑care staff in Trbovlje, the 21st Jožet Pavšek memorial football tournament, a clothing‑swap event in Zagorje, and the opening hours of the Hrastnik swimming pool.
