2. SNL live broadcast NK Vardarac Treća NL Istok new squad

The 2026‑27 season of Slovenia's second‑division football league (2. SNL) started on 7 August with 16 clubs competing for promotion. The opening round featured matches in Beltinci, Vrhnika and Novo Mesto, and for the first time all games are streamed live – the main fixture on Sportklub and the others on the official website of the Football Association of Slovenia (NZS).

In neighboring Croatia, NK Vardarac entered the Treća NL Istok with a largely new squad under coach Marko Dinjar. The club, based in Baranja, aims for a high league finish after opening the modern V Arena stadium last year. Eleven new players were signed, including former NK Osijek midfielder Ante Grgić and goalkeeper Filip Kovačević, reflecting the team's ambition to challenge for promotion.

Both clubs highlight a push for greater visibility and competitiveness in their respective lower‑division leagues.
