Slovenian agricultural awards presented at Agra fair

During the international agricultural and food fair Agra in Gornji Radgoni, the Slovenian Chamber of Agriculture, Forestry and Food presented several awards recognizing lifelong achievements and successful professional contributions to the sector.

Key recipients of lifetime achievement awards from the Cooperative Union of Slovenia included Ivan Drevna of Kmetijska zadruga Šaleška dolina, Goran Jakina of Klet Brda, Stanko Jamnik, and Slavko Rabič of Kmetijska gozdarska zadruga Sava Lesce. These individuals were honored for their roles in modernizing cooperatives, developing agricultural brands, and advancing viticulture and land preservation.

Additionally, Miša Pušenjak, a specialist in vegetable and ornamental plants from the Maribor Agricultural and Forestry Institute, received an award for successful work. Pušenjak shared her personal journey of choosing agronomy over medicine to pursue a career working in nature.
