Slovenian business leaders prepare for intervention law referendum
Leaders of regional chambers of crafts and small businesses in Celje met with the Chamber of Crafts and Small Business of Slovenia (OZS) to discuss the upcoming referendum on the Intervention Law for the Development of Slovenia.
Representatives expressed unity in their intent to protect the interests of entrepreneurs and small businesses by supporting the law during the referendum campaign. They noted that the legislation addresses long-standing needs, including more appropriate treatment of small businesses regarding taxes, social contributions, healthcare, and pensions.
Zdravko Počivalšek, State Secretary in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister, advised that while the referendum content may become politicized during the campaign, participants should focus on the substance of the law rather than political affiliations. Marko Lotrič, President of the National Council, emphasized the need for a better business environment to ensure economic progress.
