From 235 regional proposals involving over 1,100 innovators, the commission selected 49 winners to advance to the national level.
A total of 8 gold, 27 silver, and 13 bronze awards were distributed, along with a special recognition for an innovation challenge. Gold award recipients included Domel d. o. o. and the Nela development center for a high-performance electric motor, Elan, d. o. o. for its ACE skis featuring Active Suspension Drive technology, and Novartis for a new form of breast cancer medication.
GZS Director General Vesna Nahtigal noted the diversity of projects spanning healthcare, advanced technology, energy, and the circular economy. She emphasized that while Slovenia shows progress, the nation must accelerate the conversion of knowledge into new products, investments, and higher added value to increase its innovative standing.
