Slovenian churches celebrate restorations and anniversaries

Several religious and cultural milestones are being observed in Slovenia. In Slovenska Bistrica, Archbishop Alojzij Cvikl blessed the restored bell tower of the St. Jerome parish church and a new bell dedicated to St. Christopher. The restoration project, which took one year to complete, included the roof, facade, and interior stairs, with a total investment of approximately 500,000 euros.

In Žlebe, the community is preparing to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the St. Margaret Church on August 30. The church, a notable example of late Gothic rural architecture featuring precious golden altars, has undergone renovations in preparation for the jubilee. The celebrations aim to honor local history and ancestors while inspiring future generations.
