Slovenian cultural organizations mark significant milestones

Cultural organizations in Slovenia are marking significant milestones. The Društvo LIPA University for the Third Age in Domžale is preparing for the 2026/2027 academic year. The association offers various programs for seniors, including foreign language studies, cultural workshops, sports, and excursions. A new program titled ‘Radi pišemo z roko’ (We love writing by hand) is being launched in collaboration with the Domžale Library.

In Ljubljana, the Academic Choir Tone Tomšič of the University of Ljubljana will celebrate its centenary with a commemorative concert titled ‘Od korenin do neba’ (From roots to sky) on October 3, 2026. Founded in 1926, the choir has a long history of preserving Slovenian choral traditions and has achieved international recognition, including wins at the European Choral Grand Prix in 2002 and 2008. The jubilee performance will feature 3D visualizations and new compositions created for the anniversary.
