Slovenian Film Days to debut in Budapest

The 10th Slovenian Film Days will take place from October 8 to 10 at the Toldi cinema in Budapest. The event is a joint collaboration between the Slovenian Film Centre, BudapestFilm Zrt., and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Budapest.

The program features three contemporary Slovenian productions. The opening film is 'A fehéret kilencven fokon mossuk' (We Wash the White at Ninety Degrees) by director Marko Naberšnik, an award-winning work based on the autobiographical novel by Bronja Žakelj. The film explores themes of growing up in 1980s Ljubljana amidst social and familial changes.

Other featured works include 'Rejtőzködők', a Slovenian-Icelandic-Serbian dramedy directed by Miha Hočevar, and 'Földfoglaló', a provocative film examining the boundary between childhood innocence and adult aggression.
