Slovenian football: Job Brecelj signs with Olimpija and Rok Kidrič joins Bistrica
Slovenian football sees movement within its domestic leagues as both young talent and experienced veterans make significant career steps.
Job Brecelj, a 19-year-old talent, has secured a professional contract with Olimpija Ljubljana through 2029. After debuting for NK Bravo in the Prva liga Telemach and appearing in the UEFA Youth League against Porto, Brecelj is now part of the Olimpija squad. The former Slovenian cadet international expressed interest in eventually playing in Spain or Portugal.
Meanwhile, 31-year-old striker Rok Kidrič is returning to competitive football after a year-long hiatus caused by health issues and being without a club. Kidrič, who previously played for Olimpija and has over 100 top-flight appearances, has joined NK Bistrica in the second division. He aims to bolster Bistrica's attacking capabilities as they seek to improve their scoring record this season.
