Slovenian fuel prices expected to see third consecutive minor decrease

Fuel prices in Slovenia are expected to see a third consecutive decrease this Tuesday, though the reduction is projected to be minimal. Estimates suggest petrol may drop by approximately half a cent per liter, potentially reaching a price of 1.74 euros.

Diesel and heating oil are also expected to decrease, but by less than half a cent per liter. Predicted prices for diesel are around 1.88 euros per liter, while heating oil is expected to be approximately 1.505 euros per liter.

Despite a recent rise in Brent crude oil prices, which closed at 104.72 dollars on Friday—a 2.5 percent increase from the previous week—the average weekly price remained lower. Additionally, the euro lost about half a percent of its value against the dollar, which can make energy imports more expensive for European buyers. The regulation of local fuel prices is primarily influenced by the quotations of specific oil derivatives on the Mediterranean market.
